Just found this site in the last day or two when looking for a broader view of hives. After reading from several of these links, it is believed this may be helpful to those who have not read such as this — and those who have read about them, but need a few memory joggers.
Everyone on AP should especially pay attention to the Candidiasis information. It is my belief that by the time we are diagnosed with a chronic illness, our gastrointestinal flora has for a long time already been compromised, even if we've never had any of the more “visible” symptoms; according to a research paper Dr. Wm Crook shared with me years ago, some people who have not shown some of the more overt symptoms can indeed have a serious systemic yeast overgrowth. This condition can pre-dispose us to other chronic illnesses.
