In re: to the discussion of Hpylori and RA, I wondered if anyone else has had burning knees, and really tight leg muscles…enough to keep you awake at night in spite of up to 1000 mg of Naproxen and the now 15 mg of pred..(tapering every 3 wks. as per Dr F)….I never had these as I was going along on my way with mino for 3 yrs…..maybe a slight prob. with the knees here and there…but nothing constant and harsh…creams, lotions or potions?

Sorry I don't have more to offer but I did get a burning sensation in the hips but that was before Mino. It just went away, of course now that I said something it will probably come back;)

    Hi Sandy,

Yes, I have had those exact symptoms. It feels like burning knives are twirling in the knees and the muscles just below the knee are tight and sore.

That has gotten better. My elbows used to burn, too. Those are better. Feet were bad and I couldn't walk barefoot. Now I can walk barefoot carefully.

I'm still hit hard in the rib cage, wrists, and left hand (sometimes right hand)
Knees are still a problem, but not like they were.

It's kind of nice to post those “better” moments! Today is a really good day and I hate to jinx it by saying something! 🙂

Oh you asked about creams, lotions, and potions. A microwaveable moist heat pack feels the best! An herbalist I've met makes an arthritis joint relief cream that is all organic with Tumeric and MSM. http://www.taylormadearomatherapy.com

Sandy, I get burning pain in my shoulders and neck. My pain specialist believes it is caused by pressure on the nerves due to inflammation of the joints. Neuropathy is often described as a burning sensation. The pain med Lyrica was initially used for people with neuropathy, it is now used for FMS as well. It works really well on my burning pain, but it doesn't help with the joint pain. Some members of this site have tried it with various degress of success. Michele was trying it but was having problems with side effects.

Btw Michele, so glad to hear you're having a 'don't want to jinx it so I won't write it' day!;)
